The Simple Life - How to Live It

Often times I meet with people who claim they are too busy to maintain their finances, search for a better career or even clean their own home. While I agree that paying a cleaning service $60 per month is a great idea if you could better use that time with family or make more money during that hour, you really do need to carve out the time to take charge of your life.

Take balancing your checkbook for example. In its simplest form, balancing a checkbook consumes minutes each day. If you use Quicken or Money it may take even less. The problem usually lies in the amount of time required to initially set up any system. So how do you find the time?

That just happens to be an easy answer; you don't find the time. You cannot make the time either. We all have the exact same 168 hours available each week. Making more time is impossible. The answer to this question lies in prioritizing.

Is it more important to watch a movie or TV when you come home from work, or to take a walk with your family or even develop your household budget for the first time? What about getting out of the rut you have been in for the past seven years and find a career you are passionate about? It all comes down to prioritizing.

Make a list of everything you want to do during your week. Make sure to include not only work on your finances, resume, job searches, cleaning, working, eating and driving, but also family time, exercise and personal development.

At the top of the list put the most important thing in your life and begin to work backwards. No time left at the end of the day for TV? You either have to reprioritize and put TV higher (hopefully not at the cost of something more important) or you don't get to watch TV.

It has literally been months since I have seen even thirty seconds worth of TV. I cannot tell you what is happening on the latest reality TV show, but I can tell you that I am passionate about what I do for a living. I also know exactly where every dollar of my family's income goes. Set your priorities straight and the rest will follow.

Living the Good Life During Tough Times

During times like this, when were in a bad economy, and people around us are losing their jobs, how can we feel anything but frustration and pain. You hear that General Motors is going to lay off a large amount of people and factories and businesses all over the United States and throughout the world can't make ends meet and need to shut their operations down, some of them permanently.

We often forget about the good and focus on the bad. We need to reverse this and start focusing more on what we have then what we need from life. If you can't go to an nice restaurant and out to the movies, or your use to going away for the weekend and now you're forced to stay at home, make the best out of the situation you're in.

If you're someone who likes to travel, or do different things, you just need to change the way you look at things and the things around you can change. If you enjoy going out to restaurants and love fine cuisine, why not learn to cook. I have a friend who enjoys cooking and makes the most wonderful dishes and would rather eat his own food and go to any restaurant, unless it's a five star eatery.

Learning to cook good food can teach you a lot about dieting, health and what it actually cost to prepare a meal. I have heard, that some restaurants have a 500% markup on their food. Someone once told me that most restaurants make 100% profit on every meal that they serve. Not only can you save money but learn and take advantage of a bad economy.

Sometimes a poor economy can lead us to think outside of the box. If you enjoy a fine things, like food, clothes, entertainment or sporting events, why not figure out a way to enjoy them and save some money. You can learn to make your own clothes, wait six months to purchase your movies, watch sporting events on television, instead of at the sports stadium where everything is overpriced anyway.

Living the good life during tough times is only is difficult as you see it. Change the way you look at things, change your perspective, change your attitude and start enjoying life even during these financially tough times.

Money Magnet Secrets

How would you like to learn how to attract money into your life just like a magnet? Do you think you are ready to make more money in the next year than you have ever made before?

The secret to making money is all in how you see money. If you see it as something that has power over you or as something that is always just out of your reach, you will never ever be able acquire the wealth you desire. If you reframe your mind so that you can see that you have direct control over how much money you can bring into your life, you will begin to see more and more of it. The trick is to be patient and to know that it is coming. If you doubt yourself, you sabotage yourself.

Money is just a by-product. It has no power in of itself. The only power money has is that which YOU give to it. Take that power away and you will see that all it is paper that we transfer to one another. Unfortunately, many people give money tremendous power in their lives. They feel trapped in their jobs because of the need for money. You don't have to have a lot of money in order to give it power. If you routinely keep yourself doing what you don't want to do in exchange for $ 500 a week, you've given away YOUR POWER.

Increase your money by increasing your contribution. Serve a need and money will flow to you in larger and larger amounts. If you provide affordable housing as a landlord, you will have tenants who pay you rent every month and they will always look to you as someone who can serve that need. If you provide quality food in your restaurant at a good price, you will always have customers and they will still eat at your restaurant in hard times.

The more you train your mind to see opportunities, the more money will be attracted to you. One person can look at a run down apartment building and want nothing to do with it. Another person can see the same building and see a place that they can renovate and rent out 10 quality apartments and earn a monthly income.

TRAIN your mind to see opportunity and to provide service and money will begin to flow to you. The simple law of supply and demand dictates that it will.

5 Simple Tips For A Better Life

How can we enjoy a better lifestyle?

‘Easy’ I hear you say, all you need is a few million dollars a beautiful home a happy loving family and all the time in the world to sit back relax and enjoy life’s pleasures.

Well wouldn’t that be a simple solution! A short trip to see the friendly bank manager and all your problems are in the past; hmmm maybe not - so on the basis that you’re like me and don’t expect any windfalls in the coming weeks here are 5 simple tips to improving your lifestyle.

1: Take an amount of time out for yourself everyday. As a busy Mom or Dad it’s so easy to get so totally wrapped up in our responsibilities to family and friends that we neglect ourselves. Find clever ways to give yourself a little personal time, it can be as simple as a long luxurious soak in a hot bath or the peace and solitude of sitting down to your favourite novelist - the important thing is to take a little time out for yourself every single day.

2: Make a special time for your family everyday. I’m not talking about hours of deep and meaningful conversation with the whole family sat at the fireside; it’s rare that any of us get time for such things! But how about making sure that everyone sits down for one meal a day together and chats about their day and its highs and low? Not forced and artificial insincere ‘therapy’ – that’s not the idea - just a chat among family about the way the day went for them.

3: Don’t worry about what hasn’t happened. Paranoia seems to be pervasive in today’s information rich society; we spend far too much time worrying about things that we simply have no control over - from bird flu to mad cow’s disease. If you’re not employed to find the cure or responsible for passing it on then there’s little you can do…don’t waste time worrying! 24 hour news programs can add to the feeling of being out of control in a mad world, turn the TV off or over and try not to overdose on the sea of sensationalist headlines.

4: Help with things that you can do something about. It’s good to give and we all feel a little better for helping out, so maybe try a little fund raising for the local dog’s home or for children in need - choose something that’s dear to your heart, and remember it’s not about how much or how little you can afford to give, rather it’s all about making a little bit of effort for those less fortunate and it’s about the feeling of self-worth that comes from helping out where ever you can in life.

5: Enjoy the simple pleasures in life. With work pressures and the strain of modern day living it’s easy to miss the more simple pleasures in life. Take your family out for a picnic or for a stroll along the beach or through a country park, take a cool drink outside and watch the sunset, find the simple pleasures that make life so much more special and worth living.

Tips to Maintain a Positive Attitude - 3 Simple Tips That Will Change Your Life

Many people ask for tips to maintain a positive attitude. It's not that difficult to adopt a positive mental attitude for a while, but it's not easy to maintain that attitude as old habits die hard. But it's worth it: scientific studies show that optimistic people tend to have a better immune system - even when they are subjected to stress. But what can you do to maintain a positive attitude? Here are the Top 3 Tips to maintain a positive attitude:

1) Pay Attention to your Self-Talk. We all talk to ourselves in the head. And when things don't go our way, we get frustrated and often start to diminish ourselves: "I knew it, I can't do this..." or "I'll never make it". Paying attention to your self-talk (and knowing that such self-talk only harms you) will allow you to disarm such destructive thoughts.

2) Meditate. Sit in silence for 5-20 minutes a day. Smile. Studies show that meditation:

- increases happiness
- decreases anxiety and depression
- increases alertness
- can improve memory and attention
- strengthens the immune system
- lowers blood pressure/ can help lower blood sugar

3) Be grateful. Every day, before you go to bed, say to yourself "I'm thankful for...Today I accomplished...". Don't take things you already have for granted, learn to appreciate things. Be grateful for your family, good friends, health...Complete this list. Focus on giving as this way your mind will focus on what you have and not what you don't have. Recent studies show that grateful people are happier, less stressed, less depressed and more satisfied with their lives. Grateful people also have more positive ways of dealing with the difficulties they experience in life. This might explain why they also sleep better.

If you need more tips on how to maintain a positive attitude, take a look at the 11 forgotten laws of attraction - they will change your life.

P.S If you're not familiar with the Law of Attraction: the basic idea behind this powerful law is that people's thoughts shape the reality of their lives. Do you agree? Then you will love the 11 Forgotten Laws of Attraction.

Four Simple Tips To Living A Fulfilling Life That Counts For Something

Everybody would like to live a fulfilling life. I am living one right now and I thought I would share with you four tips to my fulfillment.

TIP 1 Know your gifts.

Every person has been given special talents by God. These are things that just come naturally to you. For some that may be the gift of music and the ability to play and instrument, others might have the gift of the gab and be able to hold conversations with a wide range of people. It is handy in life to find your gift and spend quite a time in your life developing that gift. As a musician you don't even have to be in a band these days you can record your music and upload it onto YouTube. I have a gift of encouragement. I have a real talent at spotting people's gifts and encouraging them to excel in them.

Take the time to invest in your gift. If money is needed, find the money as time and effort doing what you are good at brings a lot of happiness.

TIP 2 Find a way that you can give back.

No matter what your religion we have to admit that most of us on earth have been blessed. We have a great country, that is a land of opportunity and even though things can be tough to live and get buy for some of us, we have a lot to thank God for. Some people reading this go to church and most of them give money to their church, but others among you might not go to church. Whatever it is that you believe in; know that giving to others can be a very rewarding thing to do.

If you are not giving, do some research and find a good charity or organisation that is doing good work and start to give. You will be pleased with the feeling you get each time you give, a thought that your money is making the world a better place.

TIP 3 Love the unlovely.

Most people have friends that they love for different reasons and people that they don't like for different reasons. The people that are the loneliest in the world most often have habits and ways about them that are not attractive. Take the extra five minutes to listen to one of these people or to comment on something good that they do or say. You know most people have a bit of wisdom, if we are patient enough to hear it. Share you love around and take the undesirables out for a cup of coffee, you might be surprised who your real friends are after that!

TIP 4 Try to see the good in people and things.

Newspapers sell each day simply because the world feeds itself on bad news. The more we read the bad, the better we feel as our life isn't as bad as the person's in the paper.

Anyone can say something bad about a person. Gossip is so easy to do. But seeing the good in a person is a good quality to foster. Try and be on the lookout for good things to say to people that will brighten their day. If they write a good memo write to them and tell them it was good. If you colleague has a nice dress on, tell her it is really nice. Don't ask her where she got it. That's like saying you want to go and buy your own just like her! If a colleague has an attractive cologne on, tell him you are not coming on to him, but his aftershave is nice. You never really know how a persons life really is inside the masks we wear. You comment could really lift a person's day.

You can ask me any spiritual questions by email at survivors.sanctuary@gmail.com. You can approach any pastor/priest in your area if you want to know more about the Christian faith that I hold so dear. I hope this little article taught you something of value. My prayer is that you strive to reach your dreams and make them a reality.

Have you ever wanted to see a clairvoyant but the Bible forbids it? Did you know that there are people in churches with a gift of prophecy that can get a message off God for you? You can ask questions of them and they can take the questions to God for you. Eighty percent of the church don't use these people as they don't think the gift of prophecy exists anymore but the people that do use them get tremendously blessed. If you are not a Christian just say that in your email and the prophet will be more sensitive to you. Come and request a free personal prophecy today at http://www.personal-prophecy-free.net
